Shutter Paw: Now in Video Form! Sometimes, I set out to write something, and it becomes difficult to convey in plain old words. For example, there are only so many ways to type “easter egg” and “main quest” before losing my mind. There are also concepts and mechanics I need multiple paragraphs to explain when a 10-second gameplay clip would do the job much more effectively.
Thanks to the current state of the industry, the written word is no longer enough. The sword was nothing to worry about—the video player has bested the pen. I won’t stop writing, but it’d be foolish not to widen my horizons a little, so here we are.
Transmissions are video essays comparable to a feature piece in a magazine or website. They’re a bit more produced, and I take my time editing them and throwing in a few bits of relevant “Interference” (memes/references/funnies) to keep viewers entertained.

Quick Shots are smaller, less formal videos. They are more off-the-cuff than Transmissions, but I do have a script. They’re similar to the shorter articles I write for Shutter Paw.
Explaining the Dark Aether Story in Under 10 Minutes
Like Shutter Paw, I don’t plan to focus on just one title. It’s clear I’m in the honeymoon period with Black Ops 6, but I have plans to cover other games and genres. This might fuck the algorithm and any momentum I build up, but if I wanted to make money doing any of this, I’d have sold my soul a long time ago to create SEO-bait slop like HERE’S HOW TO FIND THE R2 BUTTON ON YOUR CONTROLLER and PS9: EVERYTHING WE KNOW!
